Immediately our own minds were cast back to countless evenings spent with friends around a campfire, cooking food and sharing stories. It was clear that the brand had to capture those moments but also inspire people to make new ones.
Everything about the branding had to invoke a call to adventure in the customer.
Another key element in the branding was for it to feel in the same family as brands they sold like Ooni & Yeti. During one particualr conversation we moved away from the logo being "Scottish Fire Pit Co." and moved to a more punchy Scot to get that same, impactful 4 letter word marque. We also used a heavy font with a grained secondary font to convey that sense of duribility and ruggedness that was at the heart of the brand. This is not about getting it perfect. Its about being real and authentic and having the confidene that your kit can withstand a few mistakes along the way.
